| Exchange Disseminated Time | | VST Industries Ltd has informed BSE that the Supreme Court by its recent judgment has upheld section 154 of the Finance Act, 2003, which seeks to withdraw with retrospective effect from July 08, 1999, the excise Concession given to the Tobacco Manufacturers in the North East region. The Company has been informed by the Tobacco Manufacturers who have manufactured Companies brands cigarettes in the North East region, that they are going to file review petitions against the said judgment in the Supreme Court. The financial impact if any, on the Company emanating from the above decision of the Supreme Court is being examined. |
