| Exchange Disseminated Time | ISMT Ltd has informed BSE that The Government of India, Ministry of Finance vide its Notification No. 02/2014-Customs (SG) dated August 13, 2014 (“Notification”), has imposed a safeguard duty of 20% ad valorem with effect from August 13, 2014 on Seamless Pipes and Tubes falling under tariff items mentioned in the Notification, initially for one year and thereafter at reducing rate for next two years mentioned therein.
The said Notification shall apply to all countries including China except certain developing countries.
The said Notification covers import of Seamless Pipes and Tubes of external diameter upto 273.1 mm excluding specified products more particularly defined therein. |
