| Exchange Disseminated Time | BEML Ltd has informed BSE regarding a Press Release dated September 23, 2011, titled "BEML Bags Huge Orders Worth Rs. 230 Crores for its Mining Equipment".

"BEML LIMITED, the premier Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Defence, engaged in the manufacture and supply of equipment to Core Sectors of economy viz., Mining and Construction, Rail & Metro, Defence & Aerospace, Dredging, Trading and e-Engineering, has bagged huge orders totaling to Rs.230 Crores during August and September 2011 from M/s. Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), both subsidiaries of Coal India Limited. The Orders are for supply of 100 Ton and 60 Ton Dump Trucks.
As far as Mining and Construction segment is concerned, BEML has been manufacturing and supplying various categories of equipment such as Hydraulic Excavators, Bulldozers, Pipe Layers, Electric Rope Shovels, Walking Drag Lines, Wheel Loaders, Backhoe Loaders, Motor Graders, Rear Dumpers, Water Sprinklers, Wheel Dozers, Tyre Handlers, C-Cranes etc. Besides holding lion's share in the domestic market, BEML has overseas markets for its Mining & Construction products in over 55 countries. To monitor and expand its export markets, BEML has its own establishments at Brasil, Indonesia, China and Malaysia and Distributor network at Zimbabwe and Thailand.
Having achieved a turnover of Rs.3623.52 Crores during the FY 2010-11, BEML has set a target of Rs.4,200 Cr turnover for the year 2011-12. Apart from this, BEML has also set a Corporate Goal to reach Rs.5000 Cr Turnover during 2013-14 coinciding with the Company's Golden Jubilee Year. As of date, BEML's combined Order Book position stands at Rs. 4,712 Crores for the year." |
