Zee Media Corporation Ltd replied stating "We wish to clarify that, in line with the future plan of the Company, inter alia, to launch an English News Channel, the Company has appointed Mr. Rohit Gandhi, an experienced international correspondent and communication strategist, as Editor-in-chief of the proposed English News Channel. Strategy and other plans for launch of the English News channel is currently at a preliminary stage and is yet to be considered by the Board of Directors of the Company. Appropriate disclosures will be made once the plan for launch of an English News Channel is taken up and approved by the Board." |
