| Exchange Disseminated Time 01/09/2016 18:41:18 | With reference to the earlier letter dated August 12, 2016, International Paper APPM Ltd has now informed BSE that the workers of manufacturing facility located at Rajahmundry have unconditionally called off the strike and returned to work from September 01, 2016. This was preceded by signing of a Memorandum between the Management Team and the Union Representatives on August 31, 2016 in the presence of Additional Commissioner of Labour, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The highlights of the Memorandum are given below:
1. Employment in Non-unionized categories is outside the purview of the Unions.
2. The workers will unconditionally call off the unlawful strike and return work from September 01, 2016 and the 'No Work No Pay' principle will be sustained.
3. The suspended employees will remain under suspension until the enquiry is completed. The enquiry shall be completed expeditiously.
With the strike being called off, operations at the manufacturing facility located at Rajahmundry have resumed with effect from 'B' Shift of September 01, 2016. The strike had resulted in loss of production of approx. 7000 tons. |
