"In continuation of our disclosure dated 15th February 2016, we are informed by Mr. R. Sampath, Managing Director, that a Special Leave Petition (SLP) filed by him before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India against the Hon'ble Bombay High Court order dated 8th February 2016 issuing an interim order restraining Mr. Sampath from "functioning or continuing to exercise his powers as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company, pending disposal of the Suit", in respect of the resolutions passed appointing him as such for a period of 5 years w.e.f. 1st August 2012, has been withdrawn. We are informed by Mr. R. Sampath that it has very recently come to his attention during the course of preparation for the SLP, that the website of the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Bombay discloses that the Suit filed by Mr. Sridhar in which the interim order was passed has itself been rejected under Rule 986 of the Bombay High Court (Original Side) Rules in or about May 2015. This fact was also brought to the attention of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India." |
