| Exchange Disseminated Time | Jayaswal Neco Industries Ltd has informed BSE that the operations of Blast Furnace at Steel Plant Division of the Company at Siltara Growth Centre, Raipur in Chhattisgarh has been stopped since May 22, 2008 owing to Category—I, Capital Repairs being undertaken to the Blast Furnace.
The Blast Furnace ever since it became operational in 1996, has been successfully running continuously and the Category-I capital repairs was overdue for quite sometime. The Company shall also be undertaking technological up gradation to the Blast Furnace simultaneously. The capital repairs will result into the stoppage of production at the Blast Furnace for a period of about 2 months.
The operational efficiencies and production thereafter is expected to improve significantly apart from increasing the life of the Furnace.
All other Divisions of the Company are working normally, as usual. |
