State Trading Corporation of India Ltd has informed BSE that the Government of India vide their letter dated November 12, 2008 have informed the Company that in exercise of the powers conferred by the Article 79 of Article of Association of the Company, the
President has appointed following four persons as part time non-official Directors on the
Board of STC:

1. Dr.(Mrs) B Kinnera Murthy, Professor, ASCI, Hyderabad

2. Shri. D T Joseph, ExSecretary to the Govt. of India

3. Shri. P K Chaudhary, MD, ICRA Ltd

4. Shri. Jayendra N Shah, Professional Chartered Accountant

Further the Company has informed that, process for appointment of other Independent Directors is also under active consideration of the Government of India.
