| Exchange Disseminated Time | Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd has informed BSE that an industrial accident occurred on May 20, 2014 in TPS-I at Neyveli wherein the High Pressure Heater No.8 of Unit-VII (Capacity - 100 MW) got damaged and dislocated, resulting in injuries to six persons including death of one Executive.
The Unit has been shut down immediately and a Committee has been constituted to analyze the cause of the accident and suggest measures to bring back the Unit into operation. The operation of the Unit will be resumed after carrying out the repairs. All other running units of TPS-I are in operation. |
