Canara Bank has informed BSE that consequent to passing of the Special Resolution by the shareholders at the EGM of the Bank held on September 29, 2015 for issue and allotment of 2,77,94,083 equity shares to the Government of India on preferential basis and on receipt of funds from Government of India, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, as per the authority delegated by the Board of Directors to him, has allotted 2,77,94,083 Fully Paid-up Equity Shares on September 30, 2015 to the President of India (Government of India) on Preferential Basis.
