| Exchange Disseminated Time | Indian Overseas Bank has informed BSE regarding:
"We advise that a news item on the 'Job Scam - CBI conducts search at IOB Headquarters' appeared in "The Times of India, Chennai" edition dated June 20, 2013 which stated that CBI officials conducted a surprise search at the Bank’s headquarters in Chennai on June 19, 2013 following complaints of irregularities in the recruitment of staff in the bank last year.
As the report was incorrect and CBI officials did not carry out a search. Bank has issued a rebuttal. The same has appeared in today's edition of the paper (June 21, 2013) under the column “Metro Digest" as clarification." |
