| Exchange Disseminated Time | Mukta Arts Ltd has informed BSE that the Company have acquired the Distribution Rights of the most awaited film 'Pirates of Caribbean - On Stranger Tides" (shot in 3D) from The Walt Disney Company (India) Private Limited for Film Territories of Mumbai (which includes Mumbai city, Western Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and part Karnataka), Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab (which includes Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir). The film is releasing on 20th May 2011 simultaneously with World release.
Apart from the above, Mukta Arts will be releasing its own productions, "Nouka Doobi" (in Bengali) based on Ravindranath Tagore's novel and directed by Rituparna Ghosh, its Hindi version "Kashmakash" as well as two Hindi productions "Love Express" and "Cycle Kick" in May/June 2011.
Mukta Arts has successfully distributed more than 50 films in Financial Year 2010-11. Its Exhibition Business has also shown big upward trend in last year. Currently Mukta Arts is managing programming for more than 160 cinemas/425 screens for various multiplexes as well as single screens. Also, Company's own theatres are coming up shortly at 4 locations viz. Baroda, Ahmedabad, Vishakhapatnam and Bhopal adding 17 more screens to the list. |
