| Exchange Disseminated Time 21/01/2017 17:42:51 | | Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd has informed BSE that there was a fire incident in the Company's 2x60 MW Captive Power Plant situated at Choudwar, Odisha earlier today ie. January 21st, 2017 at 12.01pm. There is no loss of life or injuries and emergency response measures were as per plan. Turbine No 2 is in the process of being revived and there is minimal damage in peripheral areas of Turbine No 1; damage assessment is being done and revival is likely to take 2-3 weeks. However, there is no loss of ferro alloys production as there is adequate backup generation capacity with the 108 MW power plant being switched on to meet the requirement. |
