| Exchange Disseminated Time | With reference to the earlier announcement dated August 27, 2011 about the Order of the High Court at Jodhpur, on account of which the mining of limestone at the Company's Chanderia Plant had to be suspended, Birla Corporation Ltd has now informed BSE that the matter was heard by the Hon'ble Jodhpur High Court on October 13, 2011 and the next date of mentioning has been fixed for December 10, 2011.
Though the production of clinker has stopped on account of suspension of mining activities, the Company has taken steps to procure limestone from nearby sources and once the limestone stock reaches a reasonable level, Kiln(s) will be started in phases to produce clinker.
Meanwhile, the Company continues to produce cement by procuring clinker from its Satna Unit and also from other sources. |
