| Exchange Disseminated Time | With reference to the earlier announcement dated February 10, 2010 regarding there was an explosion followed by fire in Waste Heat Boiler (WHB) (E-703) of Ammonia Synthesis Unit in Ammonia Plant on February 10, 2010 resulting into disruption of Ammonia Production.
A partial shutdown of Ammonia Plant was taken for repairs of WHB E-703. Consequently, there was a complete production loss of Ammonia, Urea, ANP and partial production loss of its down-stream plants. CAN plant was operated at lower load and production in other plants was at higher input consumption, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd has informed BSE that pending replacement of WHB E-703 by new procurement, with necessary repairs of WHB E-703, all the plants have been re-commissioned on June 06, 2010. The Company has restarted production of Ammonia, Urea and ANP. All the plants of the Company are now running smoothly and are operating at full load. |
