M V Murugappan on 19th September 2017. Shri M V Murugappan, took over as the Managing Director of the Company in 1979 and served in this capacity for over two decades. Under his leadership, CUMI not only grew into a leading Abrasives manufacturing Company but also became a vertically integrated mines to market company. He served as Chairman of CUMI from 1995 till his retirement in 2004.
