Press Note:
"Kernex is happy to break the news that Hon. Railway Minister Ms. Mamata Benerjee has announced during her presentation of railway budget 2011- 2012 in the parliament that the railways recent trials with an improved version of ACD have met with success and will be implemented in three zonal railways namely, Southern, South Central and South Western railways.
Considering successful trials, railways have also decided to extend ACD system to 4 more zones,. namely, Eastern, East Coast, East Central and South Eastern Railway, besides balance of work in NFR totaling 8 out of the 17 zones in Indian railways.
According to the Indian Railways pink book for 2011-2012, above works are estimated at Rupees 439.20 Cr. Initial allocation for the current year is at Rupees 28 Cr.
KRCL and Kernex, being technical partners for the ACD system, are expected to take up these works shortly." |
