| Exchange Disseminated Time | With reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily titled "MTNL likely to get pan-India mobile licence", Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has clarified to BSE that the Company has not provided any such information contained therein. Such decisions are within the purview of the licensing authority i.e. Deptt. of Telecom, Govt. of India.
As regards development of Company's land in Mumbai it is stated that the Company is engaged in ongoing development work and as soon as any specific major development reaches the takeoff stage, relevant information shall be provided at the appropriate time. It may be noted that in the case of land at Noida, the Stock Exchange was kept suitably informed by MTNL. |
