Accordingly, the Company has requested Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Noida to transfer all files, cased records to Delhi. Pending disposal of the request, the Company has on May 17, 2017 received a notice from Income Tax Department, Noida to deposit the outstanding demand for AYs 2007-08, 2008-09, 2012-13 and 2013-14 on expiry of the earlier stay granted by the Department till March 31, 2017. The Company has represented to the Income Tax Department, Noida to stay the demand till the disposal of the appeals pending before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) and no further recovery proceedings may be initiated against the Company during pendency of request for transfer of record to Delhi.Based on legal advice, it is likely that Company will get a stay. |
