"R.P.P. Infra Projects Ltd, one of India's leading and fast growing Non Metro/Rural based company is engaged in the business of infrastructure development such as highways, roadways, bridges, civil construction works, irrigation, water supply projects and power plants, RPP has started building model houses for its Mass Housing Project in Republic of Gabon which was awarded on 'Design, Build and Transfer' (DBT) model.

The construction of model houses for design approval has started and will be completed by the end of Q3 FY12. Once the design is shortlist and approved, the first phase of the Mass housing will commence.

Commenting on the occasion Mr. P. Arulsundaram - CMD, RPP Infra Projects Ltd. said, "We are pleased to have an approval on the various different designs from the Gabonese Government and we have started to build in accordance to the same. Once the model houses are approved in principle, the construction of first phase of the project will be initiated."

RPP Infra is focusing on its business development activities in some more African countries like Ivory Coast, where the company will initiate its operations. RPP Infra perceives brighter prospects in the African market and is positive about capitalizing them to expand its horizons in the African Continent.

The Sri Lanka Railway Project executed by RPP Infra will be completed before the end of Q3FY12. The Mass housing for the Housing project for Internally Displaced People (IPDs) in Sri Lanka executed in Vavunia, Mullaitheeveu, Kilinochchi, Mannar and Jaffna districts of Northern Province in Sri Lanka under Hindustan Pre-Fab Ltd., (HPL - a Government of India subsidiary) is already in progress. The handing over of the site to the Sri Lankan Government will be done in phased manner."
