| Exchange Disseminated Time | The Exchange had sought clarification from Hotel Leelaventure Ltd with respect to news appearing in The Economic Times on February 13, 2015 titled "A Bank Account of Leela Palace Attached Over Tax Dues: NDMC."
Hotel Leelaventure Ltd replied stating "The Company has filed a Writ Petition in the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi against the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) challenging the assessment of property tax by NDMC.
The Hon'ble High Court of Delhi had stayed the recovery proceedings. At the last hearing held on 13th January, 2015, the matter was adjourned to 12th March, 2015 for arguments on merits. However, the Order did not specifically mention that the interim Order would continue. As NDMC initiated action for attachment of bank account, the Company moved the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi on 13th February, 2015 and the Court has passed an Order staying recovery till further orders." |
