| Exchange Disseminated Time | United Phosphorus Ltd has informed BSE that the company has entered into an agreement with M/s BASF whereby the business of Aciflorfen compound will be acquired by the Company.
Acifluorfen a herbicide active ingredient is used globally but primarily in US and Brazil. At present it is sold under the brand names of Ultra Blazer Tm, Storm and Volt which are very popular brands among Soyabean and peanut growers through out the world. As per the agreement all registration brands and trade marks will be transferred in the name of the company.
Under the agreement the company can immediately start sale of Ultra BlazerTM and Storm in the US and from 2004 onwards all the above products through out the world. The full impact of this business can be expected from the year 2004-05. |
