| Exchange Disseminated Time | Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd has informed BSE that Sub Committee, formed by the Board of Directors, to assess and to take appropriate decision(s) with regard to the starting of sugar cane crushing operations for the season 2013-14, in its meeting held on November 19, 2013 has taken the following decision:-
"in view of the prevailing situation with respect to the operation of sugar mill(s) of the Company and of the correspondence/representations submitted to the State Government in connection with the announcement of viable cane price, particularly in accordance with the formula suggested by the Rangarajan Committee and high amount of losses, it was decided to suspend and /or not to start the Sugar Cane crushing operations for the season 2013-14 until an economical sugar cane price/reliefs/concession or support in any manner to sugar mills are announced by the UP government." |
