| Exchange Disseminated Time 04/10/2015 19:59:42 | With reference to the News item appearing in The Economic Times on October 01, 2015, titled "Piramal to Hold 35% in Combo Entity with IL&FS", IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd has Clarify to BSE as under :
"a) Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited ("IL&FS"), as the holding company for a large, diversified infrastructure and financial services group, keeps exploring various strategic alternatives and transactions from time to time. However, at this point in time, neither have we been informed by IL&FS, nor are aware of there being a disclosable event/information with respect to IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited in connection with the proposal referred to in the News Item
b) For us to otherwise comment on any proposal(s) or transaction(s) being evaluated by IL&FS would be speculative. The Company is aware of its obligations under the Listing Agreement and assures you that it shall remain duly compliant with the same
c) Based on the above, we are unable to comment on any implications of the proposal referred to in the News Item
