| Exchange Disseminated Time | Mira Tanners Ltd has announced that the Company is recipient of this years converted Gold trophy in the category of "Overall export Performance" awarded by The Council for Leather Exports for the year 2004-2005. A plaque each for "Leather Footwear" and "brand promotion" for Red Tape, the flagship brand of the Company and Amtrak has also been awarded to the Company.
Taking into consideration the Company's present global footprint, it comes as no surprise that the CLE has awarded them the highest award, the Gold trophy, for their excellent performance for the year 2004-2005. Mr Rashid Mirza, Managing Director, of the Company has propelled the Company to its present status a blue chip footwear Company with ISO 9002, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. The Company endeavor to create products that are at par with the finest in the world, has led them seek out the finest in man, machine and material making them the largest fully integrated shoe manufacturing company in India.
The Council for Leather Export has recognised the Company as 'The largest shoe exporter from India' yet again. In the category for "Leather Footwear" the plaque has been given this year to the Company for exports exceeding US $ 15 million.
In the "Brand Promotion" (footwear) category; the plaque has been awarded to the Company for the Brand promotion of red Tape and oaktrak in international markets. This recognition is testimony to red tape's global presence viz a biz brand performance and brand visibility in overseas markets thus establishing red tape as India's leading footwear brand. The Red Tape brand has already earned international recognition with its success in UK, USA, Europe, South Africa, Canada, the Middle East and Honk Kong, Domestically, Red Tape has carved a niche for itself as a market leader in world-class, high fashion range of casual and semi-formal shoe and sandals.
The Council of Leather Export has also awarded a "Certificate of Merit" each for "ISO-14001 Certificate of Merit for Environmental Management System" and "SA-8000 Certificate for Social Responsibility" to the Company for 2004-05. |
