| Exchange Disseminated Time | Maharashtra Scooters Ltd has informed BSE that in March 2006, the Company has completed production of CBU scooters from available CKD packs. The Company will cease production of Geared Scooters form April 2006, since CKD packs are not available, Bajaj Auto Ltd has stopped production of geared scooters.
The Company continues to produce pressure die casting dies, which activity contributes about 11% of the sale value of the Company.
The Company would have about 2450 finished units of scooters in its closing stock as on March 31, 2006 and will continue to sell these stocks in the next couple of months.
Keeping in mind the interest of the work force engaged, and of the all stake holders, the Company is exploring different alternatives available in this situation and various options are under consideration. Pending decisions in this regard, Company has decided to continue with current workforce. |
