| Exchange Disseminated Time | Ind Swift Ltd has informed BSE that it has launched the Novel Drug Delivery (NDDS) of Nitazoxanide an Anti-Diaroheal drug in India. The drug has been launched in the Dispersible tablet form which is suitable for all age groups. Company is second globally to launch the NDDS of this drug after the Innovator.
The dispersible tablet containing 200 mg of Nitazoxanide has actually been launched for the treatment of various parasitic infections especially for the children of age group 4-11 years of age, since Dry Syrup of 100 mg / 5 ml of Nitazoxanide is especially meant for 12-47 months of age group while film coated tablet of 500 mg is for adults. However the Dispersible tablet has an added advantage that it can be given to all age groups - half tablet (100 mg) to 12-47 months of age group. 1 tablet (200mg) to 4-11 years of age group and 2.5 tablets (500 mg) to adults dispersed in sufficient quantity of drinking water.
The Market for Anti-Diarroheal is estimated to be Rs 4000 million. The Company expects the molecule to corner a market size of over 10% in this segment. Ind Swift being a pioneer in this molecule expects to benefit as the market for this drug develops gradually. Company is expecting a turnover of Rs 120-150 million from this molecule in the full one year of its operations. |
