| Exchange Received Time 19/12/2017 11:34:49 Exchange Disseminated Time 19/12/2017 11:34:58 Time Taken 00:00:09 | This is further to our intimation dated 23rd December 2014 and 3rd April 2017, Enforcement Directorate (ED)'s has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, challenging the Single Judge order of Hon'ble High Court for the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, quashing the criminal proceedings initiated by ED against Tech Mahindra Ltd (erstwhile Satyam Computer Services Limited was merged with Tech Mahindra on 13th June 2013), seeking prosecution under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, upon hearing the matter, was pleased to dismiss the SLP by its order dated 8th December 2017.
In effect, Tech Mahindra Limited stands absolved of any criminal liability for alleged money laundering under the provisions of PMLA. Certified copy of the order is awaited.
