| Exchange Disseminated Time | Jindal Saw Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on October 31, 2013, has transacted the following:
1. Smt. Savitri Devi Jindal, Director and Chairperson of the Company tendered her resignation as Director and Chairperson of the Company effective from October 28, 2013. The Board of Directors in its meeting held on October 31, 2013 accepted her resignation and placed on record its sincere appreciation for the valuable contribution made by her during her tenure as Director and Chairperson of the Company. The Board has conferred upon her the title of "Chairperson Emeritus" and she will continue to provide her guidance and direction on future endeavors of the Company.
2. Consequent upon the aforesaid resignation of Smt. Savitri Devi Jindal from the Board of Directors and Chairpersonship of the Company, the Board of Directors in its meeting held on October 31, 2013 has elected Mr. Prithvi Raj Jindal,
Vice-Chairman as Chairman in terms of the provisions of Article 116 of Articles of Association of the Company w.e.f. October 31, 2013. |
