| Exchange Disseminated Time 10/08/2016 18:01:30 | GKB Ophthalmics Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on August 10, 2016, inter alia, has transacted the following;
1. Took note of the appeal filed by the Company against the order of The Commissioner, Central Excise and Service Tax, Goa with Assistant Registrar, Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT) Western Bench, Mumbai, claiming differential Central Excise Duty and Penalty aggregating to Rs. 11.56 crores.
2. Re-constituted the Stakeholder's Relationship Committee consisting of Mr. K. M. Gupta, Non Executive Director, as Chairman; Mr. Vikram Gupta, Non Executive Director, as a member and Mrs. Shashi K. Katreddi, Non Executive Director as a Member.
3. Decided to sell the entire Investment of 14.26% of equity share capital of Prime Lenses Private Limited to the prospective buyer Mr. K. G. Gupta and family for a total consideration of Rs. 6.89 crores.
The Board of Directors' Meeting started at 4.00 P.M. and ended at 5.30 P.M., on the same day. |
