| Exchange Disseminated Time | With reference to the earlier annoucement dated January 29, 2009 regarding receipt of order passed by the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai Bench, which upheld Company's claim u/s 80IA for the Assessment Year 2003-04, Indian Hume Pipe Company Ltd has now informed BSE that as a result of this, the Company would get Income Tax refund of Rs 3.89 Crores plus interest of approx. Rs 1.37 Crores (Upto December 31, 2008).
Pursuant to the above, the Company have now received Income Tax refund from Income Tax
Department as under:
- Income Tax refund of Rs 3,98,52,685/-.
- Interest of Rs 1,22,85,125/-.
- Total Income Tax Refund of Rs 5,21,37,810/-
As per the provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Department has right to challenge the order of Tribunal in Bombay High Court. |
