| Exchange Disseminated Time | Jayaswal Neco Industries Ltd has informed BSE that in one of the Foundries (Steel Foundry) of the Company at Nagpur an accident has taken place at around 4.00 P.M. on June 08, 2013.
The liquid metal from the holding vessel suddenly sprang up resulting into fatal/serious injuries to the fellow workmen working near the furnace area and causing damages to some of the equipments. Resultantly, the operations of the steel foundry will remain disrupted for some time. The exact cause of the accident is being investigated.
All other units under Foundry Division and the operations under Steel plant Division at Raipur continues to run unaffected. The Company does not anticipate any significant loss of turnover and/or profit due to the occurrence of the accident mentioned above. |
