D-Link (India) Ltd has informed BSE regarding a Press Release titled "D-Link goes GREEN;
Company launches the world's first energy-saving Managed Green Ethernet Switch".

Press Release:

"D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced the launch of the world's first Green managed switch -the D-Link@ Green™ 24-port Managed Gigabit Switch (DGS-3200-24).

Speaking to the media at the launch, Gary Yang, Managing Director, D-Link (lndia) Ltd said, "Nowadays, environmental awareness is at an all time high and consumers worldwide are demanding more environmental friendly and energy efficient products and solutions." He added, "D-Link has always been committed to Green computing and has taken a lead in developing innovative, power-saving technology that is ideal for both home and business environments. D-Link Green products don't compromise on operational performance or functionality, and do not cost more."

D-Link Green Technology automatically detects device link status and reduces the power usage of ports that are not linked. When detecting a link down, the DGS-3200-24 conserves power usage without sacrificing network performance.

in addition to the innovative Green features and the smart fan, the DGS-3200-24 switch offers advanced security features and is lPv6 Phase II certified. The DGS-3200 series is capable of operating in temperatures up to 50 degree Centigrade and in non A/C environment especially suitable for Indian climate.

Jayesh Kotak, VP-Product Marketing, D-Link (India) Ltd. added, "D-Link DGS-3200 is an extremely compact device that not only helps customers lower their operating expenses by cutting down on electricity consumption, but also reduces the capital expenditure on power backup investments."

As the first Company to introduce Green networking solutions, D-Link now offers a complete line of Green Technology products, including Switches, Wi-Fi Routers, Network Attached Storage (NAS) and internet-enabled Digital photo Frames.

D-Link has a dedicated website, www.dlinkGreen.com that outlines the company's Green initiatives, such as conserving energy, protecting the environment from harmful substances and reducing waste by using recyclable packaging. The site also provides an overview of D-Link Green technology that provides eco-friendly alternatives without compromising on performance.

D-Link has instituted a program to which all of its Green solutions must comply before being labeled D-Link Green. In order to qualify, products must adhere to requirements that:

• Incorporate D-Link's energy-saving technology
• Comply with Green initiatives (such as WEEE, RoHS, and ENERGY STAR)
• Use D-Link's eco-friendly sustainable packaging (such as sleeveless design and soy ink)

The DGS-3200-24 supports both lPv4 and lPv6 protocols to meet the ever-increasing demand of larger address space. lPv6 simplifies, streamlines network configuration and also reduces costs of deployment. The DGS-3200-24 is on the IPv6 Phase-2 approved list."
