PREVENT, 1st time in India, is a book which attempts to address management guidelines of diabetes and complications based on Indian perspective.
India today is at the ascending limb of the epidemic diabetes with the prevalence and incidence increasing at an alarming rate. It is a matter of concern that lack of awareness, late diagnosis and inadequate management is resulting in compounding the patients' misery. Moreover, there is no concrete guidance to manage Indian diabetics as we are genetically conducive to develop diabetes and complications. Taking a note from what is the need of the hour, an eminent panel from across India, comprising of renowned Diabetologists, Cardiologists, Nephrologist, Neurologist and Retionologist, under the chairmanship of Padmashree Dr. Anoop Misra has endeavored to put in evidence and practical experience and come up with the book PREVENT.
