| Exchange Disseminated Time | Kopran Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on January 03, 2008, has approved the assignment of its brand SMYLE to Maneesh Pharmaceuticals Ltd for a consideration of Rs 52.88 crores.
A range of more than twenty (20) products covering Oral Care, Pain Management and Baby products are being marketed successfully under the SMYLE brand.
Maneesh Pharmaceuticals Ltd has been distributing and marketing SMYLE range of products since the last two years. The Company has been receiving Royalty on the sales of SMYLE products.
The decision of the Board is a part of the objective to focus on the International business for pharmaceutical products, both Formulations and Bulk Drugs.
The consideration and approval of the audited financial results for the 18 months ended September 30, 2007 at the Board meeting, was adjourned. The matter would be considered at a Board meeting to be held on January 08, 2008. |
