"Owing to various reasons relating to arrears of cane dues of farmers for the previous crushing season 2014-15, the farmers of the Company's reserved cane areas are not supplying the requisite quantity of cane to all its three factories at Mawana, Titawi and Nanglamal in Western U.P.
As a result of such short supply of cane, the cane crushed at all three factories of the company is adversely affected which will result in lower production of sugar, power, molasses, press mud, bagasse saved, and also result in lower efficiencies. This will result in lower profitability and delayed payment to farmers next year as well." |
