| Exchange Disseminated Time 01/07/2016 12:32:46 | MSP Steel & Power Ltd has informed BSE that there was a fire accident in the turbine of the one unit of the Power Plant, which is situated inside the integrated steel plant at Jamgaon, Raigarh. This turbine is to be repaired by the Company, which will take 2 to 3 months of time. Rest units of power plant division of the Company were not affected and are under operation.
Fortunately, there has been no loss or injury to human life. The fire was controlled within the time causing the least effect of plant & machineries. However, the Company is in the process of ascertaining the actual loss caused by the fire. All the machineries are adequately insured.
The fire did not spread to the main plant. All divisions of the Company have resumed operation after temporary shutdown. |
