Trading Members are requested to refer to SEBI Circular no CIR/DRMNP/4/2012 dated November 20, 2012 regarding ‘Mini derivatives (Futures & Options) contracts on Index (Sensex & Nifty)’ where SEBI has decided to discontinue mini derivative contracts on Index and the Exchange notice no 20111007-21 dated October 07, 2011 regarding ‘Consolidated Master Circular (Trading) for BSE Derivative Segment’ where Exchange has specified contract specifications and trading rules of mini derivative contracts on SENSEX i.e. SENSEX Mini (Asset code-MSX)
In pursuance of the above, trading members are requested to note that no fresh derivatives contracts (Futures and Options) shall be introduced on SENSEX mini (Asset Code - MSX). However existing unexpired derivative contracts on SENSEX Mini i.e. November 2012, December 2012 and January 2013 shall continue to available for trading and new strikes may also be introduced on the said contracts.
The SEBI circular regarding ‘Mini derivative (Futures & Options) contract on Index (Sensex & Nifty)’ is enclosed as Annexure I for reference.
