| Exchange Received Time 22/05/2018 11:43:53 Exchange Disseminated Time 22/05/2018 11:44:00 Time Taken 00:00:07 | | This is in continuation to our earlier letters dated April 16 and May 17, 2018, wherein we had informed that the appeal(s)/application/writ petitions filed by the Company for the matters related to assessment year 2009-10 are listed for hearing before the Hon'ble Delhi High Court on May 21, 2018. In this regard, we wish to inform you that today the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi has admitted the appeals filed by the Company and framed questions of law. The Hon'ble High Court has also directed that the stay granted on the tax demand and stay in connection with the prosecution notice relating to assessment year 2009-10 shall continue till the next date of hearing, which is 10.09.2018. A verbal assurance was given by the Tax Department on 16.04.2018 that no recovery would be made in respect of the penalty demand till the next date of hearing. Since no arguments were addressed on this aspect today, therefore, this assurance will also continue to bind the tax department till 10.09.2018 |
