E-Waste is one of the biggest problems the country has been facing today and if you observe most of these are collected by the informal sector who salvage whatever possible and then discard the remaining in to landfill or into the rivers, ponds and other water bodies. This has been a major concern for the Indian Government. The Government of India has come out with stringent laws to stop this menace by formulating the E-Waste Handling Rules 2016 and more recently amending it in March 2018.
