VEDL/Sec./SE/18-19/44 dated May 28, 2018 had informed the exchanges that it had received an Order dated May 28, 2018 from the Government of Tamil Nadu directing the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) to seal the Company''s ''Copper Smelter Plant 1 at Thoothukkudi District, Tamil Nadu' and to close the said plant permanently.
We would also like to mention that, as on date, there are no claims that have been made pursuant to the interim order.
