In this regard, we would like to submit that Fortis Hospital, Mulund, (one of the hospital units housed under Fortis Hospitals Limited which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortis Healthcare Limited) is in receipt of summons dated 15th March 2018 (received on 21st March 2018) from Court based on a complaint filed by the FDA.
We wish to state that re-sterilization and re-use of medical devices is an internationally accepted and encouraged industry practice favored for its potential to lower overall healthcare costs and the environmental benefits of reducing medical waste.
