The Government of Gujarat, vide its notification no. FPW-102012-471-B-1 dated March 27, 2018 has approved Total Knee Replacement (TKR) and Total Hip Replacement (THR) under Mukhyamantri Amrutam 'Ma' Yojana and Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya Yojana and announced to provide INR 40,000 financial support to the patients covered under the scheme. This scheme today covers over 2 Crores citizens in the state.
This will benefit a huge number of citizens of state who otherwise were finding it difficult to get this treatment done due to economic reasons.
