As communicated earlier vide intimation dated 12 October, 2017, Tata Communications Limited, in its normal course of operations, often looks at potential opportunities to strengthen its leadership position in various markets, as a part of which, the Company has been evaluating the strategic fit and financial merits of potentially acquiring the enterprise business of Tata Teleservices Ltd. and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd.
The Company has always made timely disclosures as required under the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) regulations, 2015 and shall continue to do so.
Tata Communications Limited is not in a position to comment on internal procedures of the Government of India, and currently has nothing further to disclose with respect to the news item appearing on 'www.livemint.com'.
