This is in continuation to SEBI vide circular no. CIR/MRD/DP/54/2017 dated June 13, 2017 and Exchange notice nos. 20170615-23 dated June 15, 2017, 20170619-26 dated June 19, 2017 and 20170717-1 dated June 17, 2017.
The stock brokers who are providing the margin trading facility to their clients are required to upload the following files in the CSV format through BEFS.
1. MG<ddmmyy>.CSV
2. MGA<ddmmyy>.CSV
3. MGB<ddmmyy>.CSV
Stock brokers, please note that:
1. The details in all the above 3 files are to be mentioned on cumulative basis.
2. Details are required to be filled in the field “Quantity” and “Amount” in MG file irrespective of the value of the field as Collateral (C) or Funded (F) in the field “Flag of the stock”.
3. A new field “Scrip code” has been added in the MG file in addition to the fields defined in MG file vide notice no. 20170717-1 dated June 17, 2017.
4. The value in the field “Stock Exchange” would accept only “BSE”.
The option to upload the Margin Trading data on the BEFS under the menu “Margin Trading> Margin Trading upload” has been made available in BEFS w.e.f today i.e August 3, 2017.
The format and steps to upload the above mentioned files are attached as Annexure 1. The file format is also available in BEFS under the module “Margin trading”.
