The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts primary auction of government securities comprising Treasury Bills (T-Bill) & dated Government Securities (G-sec) issued on behalf of Government of India. Vide its notification dated November 23, 2017, RBI has permitted stock exchanges to act as facilitator for non-competitive bidding (NCB) process under RBI Auction in these Government Securities. Additionally, RBI has allowed retail investors to participate in the non-competitive bidding process with a view to diversify investor base and encourage wider participation of retail investors in G-sec market.
In view of this, the Exchange has introduced online bidding platform “NCB-GSec” for enabling its trading members to place bids on behalf of their eligible clients. This bidding platform is part of the iBBS (Internet-based Book Building System).
Now, the Exchange is pleased to announce the launch of ‘BSE-Direct’ web-based platform for participation in the non-competitive bidding of G-sec auction. This platform will help augment the efforts of members in facilitating wider investor participation and enable their clients/investors to place bids directly in the non-competitive bidding process. This platform shall be available on the following weblink with effect from Monday, December 03, 2018.

All trading members of BSE who wish to enable BSE Direct platform facility for their investor clients have to login to IBBS system and go to NCB-GSec => BSE Direct tab to complete registration formality. Trading members and investors can refer to the enclosed Annexure for detailed process of bidding.
