Standardization of file formats for MII-Member Interface
This is in continuation to Exchange circulars 20220812-46, 20220812-47, 20220812-48 dated August 12th, 2022 & 20220922-45 dated September 22nd, 2022 issued on Standardization of Exchange to Member Interface for End of Day Files. As per recommendations of SEBI’s Market Data Advisory Committee (MDAC) regarding “Standardization of MII-Member Interface”, it was proposed to standardized the formats of end of day files across applicable Exchanges. The format of these files should be common across all applicable Exchanges, as part of the continued efforts to enhance the interface between Exchanges and Members.
In this regard, the new standardized file formats in Capital Market, Futures and Options, Currency Derivatives and Commodity Derivatives segments have been made available and are being disseminated in new formats as mentioned in the aforesaid circulars.
As communicated, ISO tags of these new files shall be published separately via a separate circular shortly. Additionally, Exchanges have received feedback from Market participants and back-office vendors to include the ISO tags as headers in the new standardized files. The same has been considered, taken up for development and shall be released accordingly in due course of time.
As guided by SEBI and based on MDAC working group discussions, all market participants are required to be ready by December 31, 2022 for using the new standardized file formats
The old(existing) and new files shall be simultaneously available for use till March 31, 2023 after which old(existing) files shall be discontinued. Market participants are advised to take note of the same and initiate necessary changes in their systems.
