Sub: Public Notice in respect of Extension of the SEBI Settlement Scheme, 2022
In continuation to the Exchange Notice No. 20220822-2 dated August 22, 2022, on the captioned matter.
1. Vide public notice dated August 19, 2022, SEBI has introduced the Settlement Scheme, 2022 (“the Scheme”) in terms of Regulation 26 of SEBI (Settlement Proceedings) Regulations, 2018 which provides a one-time settlement opportunity to those entities that have executed trade reversals in the stock options segment of BSE during the period from April 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015 and against whom adjudication proceedings have been initiated and are pending before any forum or authority.
2. This settlement period commenced on August 22, 2022 and was to end on November 21, 2022.
3. It has been observed that during the last few days, large number of entities have shown interest in availing the Scheme. Considering the interest of entities in availing the Scheme, the competent authority has extended the period of the Scheme till January 21, 2023.
A copy of the said Notice is attached herewith and available on the SEBI website www.sebi.gov.in.
