Trading members of the Exchange are hereby informed that, pursuant to the Scheme of Amalgamation between The Tinplate Company of India Ltd (“Transferor Company”) (“Tinplate”) and Tata Steel Ltd (“Transferee Company”) (“TataSteel”), as sanctioned by the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal, Kolkata Bench. The Tinplate Company of India Ltd, has informed the Record Date fixed to determine the entitlement of shareholders of Tinplate to Equity Shares of TataSteel.
Trading Members are advised not to deal in the Equity Shares of Tinplate with effect from the under mentioned date:-

As per the Scheme of Amalgamation as approved by the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal, Kolkata Bench for Amalgamation of The Tinplate Company of India Ltd(Tinplate) INTO Tata Steel Ltd (TataSteel) ;
Upon the Scheme becoming effective and in consideration of the Amalgamation of Tinplate into TataSteel;
TataSteel shall issue and allot Equity Shares to the Shareholders of Tinplate in the following manner:-
“33 (Thirty-Three) Fully Paid-Up Ordinary Equity Shares of Re.1/- (Rupee One) each of TataSteel to be issued for every 10 (ten) Fully Paid-Up Equity Shares of Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten) each held by the Shareholders of Tinplate”;
