We refer to the Exchange Circular No. 20230331-22 dated Mar 31, 2023 & Exchange Circular No. 20240222-25 dated Feb 22, 2024 regarding Colocation facility & related services.
1. Aforementioned circulars inter alia state that Exchange may add / upgrade the racks to higher power capacity from time to time. Accordingly, Exchange would like to inform Members / Vendors about introduction of new category of Full Rack with power capacity of 15 kVA.
2. Participants desirous of availing the specified rack type shall be required to submit the request in BEFS Portal > Login in BEFS > Colocation service > Colocation Inventory management services > Select tab “Click Here for New Application”. The portal will be available for application of Full Rack - 15 kVA with effect from Apr 15, 2024 - 11:00 AM.
3. Full Rack – 15 kVA shall be considered as a separate rack category. Hence, there shall be a separate application for this rack type. In case of non-availability of the rack within applied rack category by the member, there will be separate waiting list for the same.
4. Participants are permitted to change the rack category type for unallocated racks, if they wish to as per following details:
a. To apply for rack type change of unallocated rack, the member must clearly specify the application number of the earlier rack requested category along with the application of revised rack type category.
b. In such a scenario, the earlier rack request shall be considered cancelled.
c. Post submission of differential amount of the revised rack type, if any, the request shall be considered complete and the revised rack request shall be considered for allotment / waitlisting based on the availability of rack type with the new timestamp.
d. Example: Member has applied for a rack type (say, 1 Full rack 6kVA) and paid the corresponding rack amount but the rack is not yet allocated.
i. Case 1: Member now wishes to modify the application to a higher rack category (say, 1 Full rack 15kVA). In this case rack amount paid for unallocated 1 Full rack 6kVA shall be eligible for adjustment against the rack amount required to be paid for 1 Full rack 15kVA.
ii. Case 2: Member now wishes to modify the application to a lower rack category (say, 1 Half rack 3kVA). In this case rack amount paid for unallocated 1 Full rack 6kVA shall be eligible for adjustment against the rack amount required to be paid for 1 Half rack 3kVA. However, member shall not be eligible for refund of differential amount, if any and the same shall be forfeited.
5. Further, market participants may kindly note revision in charges for colocation services for both existing and new users effective May 1, 2024. Kindly find services wise charges in the table below:

Note:
- The charges of Copper Cross Connect and Fire Cross Connect services shall be levied on monthly basis.
- All other charges shall be levied on Annual basis. In case of surrender of services, the refund shall be provided on Pro-rata basis for the unutilized period subject to minimum Lock-in period of one month notice.
- 10G port charges shall be levied at Rs. 95,000 per annum from April 01, 2024 (Exchange Notice No 20240402-57 dated April 2, 2024).
- Relevant taxes will be applicable on One-Time charges (OTC), Monthly Recurring Cost (MRC) and Annual Charges.
